WM Seeking CDL’s, Diesel Techs, Welders for New Jersey, Yonkers Sites at Aug. 11 Event

Fairview, N.J., Aug. 6, 2021 – Waste Management will look to add commercial truck drivers, diesel truck technicians and welders to its teams in Fairview and Lafayette, N.J., and Yonkers, N.Y., when it conducts a hiring event Aug. 11 in Bergen County.

The event will be conducted Wednesday, Aug. 11, from noon to 6 p.m. at the company’s Fairview Hauling Co., 61-75 Broad Ave., Fairview.

“We have several openings for commercial truck drivers, diesel technicians and welders at our sites in Fairview and Lafayette, N.J., and at our facility in Yonkers, N.Y.,” Waste Management Talent Adviser Lisa Woodson said. “We are offering new, industry-competitive pay rates and benefits to candidates to these positions. Sign-on bonuses also are available with some of these positions.

“Our regional management team will be conducting interviews at Fairview and will be prepared to make job offers on-the-spot,” Ms. Woodson said.

Waste Management operates the Lafayette Hauling Co. in Sussex County, N.J., and hauling companies and transfer stations in Fairview and Yonkers. The company has 14 openings for drivers, diesel technicians and welders at these sites and many other positions available across its regional operations in the Mid-Atlantic states.
