Erick Grau is a technology entrepreneur, AI advocate, creative thinker and proud Latino business owner committed to helping organizations scale smarter through strategic IT. Born in New Jersey to Cuban parents, Erick blends cultural pride with a modern, forward-thinking approach to leadership and innovation.
Erick began his career in New York City’s Silicon Alley during the Dot-Com boom, where he cut his teeth building infrastructure for startups before going on to lead global technology initiatives for some of the most demanding sectors.
Erick’s experience spans serving as Director of IT for a $4 billion hedge fund, working at Apple, and building tech stacks that power both boardrooms and creative studios. Before launching Chibitek, his career was deeply influenced by his time in New York’s underground music and club scene, where he honed his love for creative expression, community, and out-of-the-box thinking—traits that continue to shape his leadership style today.
Now, as Founder & CEO of Chibitek, Erick leads a nationally recognized Managed IT Services firm that supports clients across public relations, media, healthcare, and nonprofits. Chibitek’s edge lies in its AI-first approach, including their in-house platform Chibi AI, which enables clients to get real-time answers about devices, security, and billing making IT more human and accessible.
A firm believer in giving back, Erick was featured in Hispanic Stars Rising: The New Face of Power (Volume V) in recognition of his leadership and inspiring journey as a Latino founder in tech. He currently serves as Director of Technology for ACSHSA and in 2024 was elected to the Leonia, NJ Board of Education, where he advocates for innovation in education and community empowerment.
Erick’s mission is simple: make IT effortless so bold ideas can thrive. Whether he’s helping a business recover from a cyber incident, scaling infrastructure for a fast-growing PR agency, or mentoring the next generation of tech leaders—he shows up with heart, vision, and the wisdom of someone who’s lived through every side of tech.
