Terms of Service

Welcome to the Bergen County Chamber of Commerce (“Chamber”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website and membership services, including any features, content, events, programs, or other services offered to members through www.bergencountychamber.com (the “Website”).

By registering as a member, accessing our services, or using our Website, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not register or use our services.

1. Membership Eligibility

Membership is open to businesses, professionals, and individuals who support the mission of the Bergen County Chamber of Commerce. We reserve the right to approve, reject, or terminate membership at our sole discretion, in accordance with our bylaws and organizational policies.

2. Member Responsibilities

As a member, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information during registration and to update it as needed.

• Abide by the Chamber’s Code of Conduct and bylaws.

• Maintain the confidentiality of your account login credentials.

• Use the Website and Chamber resources in a professional, lawful, and respectful manner.

3. Payment & Billing

Certain membership levels require the payment of annual dues or fees. By submitting payment information, you authorize the Chamber to charge the applicable fees. Memberships automatically renew unless canceled prior to the renewal date. All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.

4. Termination of Membership

The Chamber may suspend or terminate your membership and access to services at any time if you:

• Violate these Terms or any Chamber policies.

• Engage in unethical, illegal, or disruptive conduct.

• Fail to pay applicable membership dues.

Upon termination, all rights associated with membership (including member benefits and directory listings) will be revoked.

5. Use of Website and Content

All content provided on the Website, including logos, materials, and media, is the property of the Chamber or its content providers and protected by intellectual property laws. You agree not to reproduce, modify, distribute, or exploit any content without prior written consent.

6. Events and Programs

From time to time, the Chamber offers events, workshops, and networking opportunities. Participation in these activities is voluntary and may be subject to additional terms. The Chamber is not liable for any direct or indirect loss or injury resulting from participation.

7. Third-Party Links

Our Website may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content or practices of any linked site and inclusion of such links does not imply endorsement.

8. Disclaimers

The services and content provided by the Chamber are offered “as is” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet your expectations.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Chamber shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of our services or Website.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Bergen County Chamber of Commerce, its directors, officers, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, or expenses arising out of your membership, conduct, or use of the Website.

11. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with the “Effective Date” updated. Your continued use of our services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Bergen County, New Jersey.
