Member Monday – Chris Pickhardt

A graduate of William Paterson University, Chris has been working as a camera operator and editor since 2005 in the tri-state area, shooting a variety of content – ranging from live events, such as concerts, theatrical performances, and conferences, to commercials, government content, and narrative film. A personal favorite experience was shooting a live event with zoologist and TV personality Jack Hanna aka “Jungle Jack” at the renowned Strand Center for the Arts in Lakewood, NJ. In 2017, Chris partnered with lifelong friend, Chris Sendrowski to form Firelight Digital, as a means to harness their collective experience and talents into crafting digital video marketing solutions for small to medium-sized businesses. Together they have created exciting videos in various industries, from demolition and construction to HVAC and orthopedic surgical tool manufacturing, just to name a few. They have also focused on aerial drone photography, producing captivating videos for well-known businesses such as Montclair Acura and Warwick Valley Winery and Distillery. When he’s not out in the field filming, Chris works as an actor and has appeared in numerous independent films as well as on television; most recently on Investigation Discovery’s “Evil Lives Here.” Chris also fulfilled a Bucket List item by appearing on “Cash Cab!” Additionally, Chris taps into his acting background as a Standardized Patient; assisting in the training of medical students via simulated patient encounters at several New Jersey medical schools, which is a meaningful way to utilize his skills for the greater good.
